Last night I decided to try taking a few photos of Venus since it was cloudy. Yes! Over the past few years, clouds have become my favorite natural light diffuser and allow me to leave the lens open longer when taking photos of super-bright average night sky stuff, which means more surrounding details can be captured.
Then of course, the Moon.
Looking straight up with my head tilted back as far as possible, I noticed a chain of faint, soft-blue lights chugging along through the night sky. I took a long exposure, went inside and looked it up. Apparently, Starlink has been upgraded to a soft, dim, blue as to not distract from the night sky. One night we were walking Penny and saw an original Starlink go over our house! It was super-bright and pretty surreal, almost like a shooting star.
Sorry I’m such a nerd, thanks for reading!
